CHIT CHAT + MOTHERS DAY!

CHIT CHAT + MOTHERS DAY!

“As the old adage goes, there is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving. People carry a lot of burden with them around the streets, in their houses, in their offices, all up in their minds and hearts but when you free yourself off that burden, then you never look back to see who’s gonna stab you cause that’s not your concern.” This was sent to me by a good friend of mine. Sometimes we just can use some words of wisdom from our inner circles.

LIB, FASHIONOVA & REFLECTIONS.

LIB, FASHIONOVA & REFLECTIONS.

Ola amigos! I’m writing this article while listening to one of my favorite tracks from Love Is Blind (LIB). If you haven’t watched this Netflix Experiment/series, I honestly do not know what you’re waiting for. It gave me all the feels and guess what, it’s made me believe that Love is Indeed blind. How do you meet, fall in love and propose to someone you’ve never seen or met in a matter of days and eventually marry them? Then one year down the line, y’all still in love more than ever and still together? Phewwww!! So yea, make a point of watching this series if you haven’t 🙂

BEST STAYCATION EVER!

BEST STAYCATION EVER!

I love being indoors, but, for all the right reasons and not the global pandemic we’re currently going through. Sigh! When I was single, with NO child, I’d spend most of my time indoors watching a  movie, baking up a storm, enjoying some good wine or reading a good book. Ever since my little blessing, Mr Ace, came into my life, I’ve been forced to get out of my comfort zone and eat out more, go to play parks with him, explore different kid-friendly restaurants with him as well as enjoying stay-cations within Nairobi! This is a good thing as opposed to the opposite 🙂

A Generation of Change.

A Generation of Change.

There’s always hype about the next great generation, the ones who will fix problems and shake things up. It’s interesting how women across the globe are speaking up, building forums, writing books and starting powerful conversations to inspire change. We all want to live in a society that allows us to use our voices in order to be heard, inspire and eventually create change. Global Initiatives such as Goal Keepers have paved way for discussions around Global Goals that are intended to cultivate a better future around the world. Women such as Janet Mbugua, Grace Msalame, Lucia Musau, Melinda Gates, Julie Gichuru, Yara Shahidi, Zendaya, among other amazing women across the globe have truly paved the way for women of our generation and generations to come. These women are fearless, they’re bold they’ve literally broken barriers. Yara Shahidi at the age of 19, is not only an actress and model…

YOU’RE MY IDÔLE.

YOU’RE MY IDÔLE.

Howdy! I had the honor of working with Lancome on the launch of their new fragrance, Idôle Lancome. We had so much fun, we drank, ate and almost fell into a food comma with the ladies 😀 Other than Lancome fragrances, I’m also a lover and a huge fan of their foundation, Teint Idole and their renergie night cream. I honestly don’t mind spending a little bit more on quality products. I’ve always preferred quality over quantity.
