Ola amigos! I’m writing this article while listening to one of my favorite tracks from Love Is Blind (LIB). If you haven’t watched this Netflix Experiment/series, I honestly do not know what you’re waiting for. It gave me all the feels and guess what, it’s made me believe that Love is Indeed blind. How do you meet, fall in love and propose to someone you’ve never seen or met in a matter of days and eventually marry them? Then one year down the line, y’all still in love more than ever and still together? Phewwww!! So yea, make a point of watching this series if you haven’t π
I literally live in my fashionova jeans pretty much all the time paired up with a body suit or tee or blouse. Jeans are usually the easiest to style and are a wardrobe staple. As seen here, I paired it with a checked body suit from fashionova which isn’t my favorite really. The cut goes a bit higher from the denims waistline so you will have skin popping out and constantly pulling your denim up. I then threw over my go to leather jacket which I also got from fashionnova. I can’t wait to show you guys other few pieces I’ve managed to get my hands on π

In other news, despite all the chaos happening globally, I’m taking advantage of this quarantine period to do some soul searching and self reflection.Taking time to smell the roses by appreciating what I often ignore. What do I mean by this? In as much we face challenges in life such as COVID19 (which has hurt the economy globally), broken homes/marriages, lost friendships, falling out with family, self-doubt, addiction etc; it’s important to stop for a minute and actually be grateful for all the positive things happening in your life which are; being with family, having your kids healthy and happy, the gift of life, your job, because this means you have the opportunity to turn your life around and do better.
In as much as I may get weighed down by life challenges from time to time, I’ve successfully managed to remain pretty balanced emotionally and mentally. I’m a firm believer in remaining totally positive when adversity comes knocking on my door; more so because I have a little boy who fully depends on me and my sanity π I can only give him what I feed myself. If I feed myself sadness or toxic energies, ultimately, I release the same to him and who wants that? In the same breathe, If I allow any negative emotions to take over, that will only mean I will be less productive at work, less motivated to get that paper or even barely come here to inspire you guys! That’s a lot to loose! Also, keeping God really close and at the center of everything has truly changed my perspective on so many things and life.

One of my secrets for keeping myself in a positive and resourceful state of mind, even in the face of challenges, is my habit of regularly reading and listening to positive, uplifting ideas and information, typically from books, audio programs (podcasts) and therapy sessions. With all the negative stories that circulate on social platforms on a daily basis, this is more important than ever.
Some of the resourceful & entertainment material I read/watch: Mind Valley, Jay Shetty, Goal Cast, Good Quotes, Derrick Jaxn, Joy Wahome , (I also go back and refer to posts I’ve used to inspire y’all here) Daily Dose of Bad Jokes, Sarcasm Only….and many others π
I hope you enjoyed todays post. Thanks for reading.
Love&light! π
