CHIT CHAT + MOTHERS DAY!

As the old adage goes, there is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving. People carry a lot of burden with them around the streets, in their houses, in their offices, all up in their minds and hearts but when you free yourself off that burden, then you never look back to see who’s gonna stab you cause that’s not your concern.” This was sent to me by a good friend of mine. Sometimes we just can use some words of wisdom from our inner circles.

In other news, other than the usual chaos of the day, I’ve been really enjoying quarantine with family. I was talking to my mum the other day and basically telling her in as much as there’s a lot going on with #COVID19, I’m actually choosing to see everything in a different light, positively. I’m so grateful to God when it comes to #myAce. He’s such a big and smart boy now. He’s such a little entertainer and being able to spend majority of my time with him during this period, is such a blessing. All we do is play, fight a little (Lol 😀 ), eat, play some more, exchange hugs and kisses, sometimes my hair & grandma’s hair is plucked (Pheeeeww!) among everything else nice. We’re also slowly learning how to count numbers and he also pretty much understands the basics. I’m so proud!!

Mama Ace without make-up! Chile!!!! This is an old pic of Ace & I. He’s way bigger now.

I know it can get a little gloomy during this period and tiresome having to juggle your work, meetings,  raising a toddler, making meals in between, tending to your personal needs as a slay-mom at home e.t.c. the list is endless. I have had instances where I’ve felt like things are just going haywire and I thought you could use some of my tips on bouncing back!

  • Talking to someone you can trust. This works wonders! At least, for me. Those conversations end up being filled with so much laughter and joy.
  • Taking breaks in between my work schedule. Nap when you  feel exhausted. It’s okay.
  • Baking!! Yes, baking is so therapeutic. There are so many simple recipes online you can use to help ease your mind.
  • Watching movies too. I’m more inclined to watching reality shows though more than movies. 😀

What are some of the tips you’re using? Feel free to share! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

And to all mommies, man-moms, aunties playing mommy roles, we see you, we appreciate you, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!! 😍😍

My daughter and I developed a tight friendship this period. Am happy – sad seeing her grow fast t . All I want is to be her best friend. We agreed she is leaving my house when she is 30😂 We bake, we cook, video call and currently into home deco😊
