Well, here’s the thing, Turkey had never been a vacation destination on top of my mind. It’s one of those places that never crossed my mind in such a long time. When we started doing our research and seeing all the amazing activities one can explore in Turkey, damn, I couldn’t wait!
- PARAGLIDING IN OLUDENIZ, FETHIYE
Imagine spending your afternoon flying like a bird from the Babadag Mountain, soaring over the Oludeniz Coastline, with the most perfect panorama views of one of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey. Fethiye hosts one of the most popular paragliding take-off sites in the world, Babadag Mountain, which is near Oludeniz beach. I mean, even from the pictures you can tell how magical the experience must have been. We had seen from the pictures how beautiful the beach was from the top of the mountain and it sure was! This are one of those moments you got to cherish forever. Probably might go back to Turkey for this.
Planning to visit Turkey soon? Have this in your list of activities!

- TURKISH MUD BATH, SAKLIKENT GORGE (Here’s is to looking 10 years younger!)
Well, to be honest, this wasn’t very pretty. I wished I had prepared myself better. Lol! I had fun sinking in the mud and all until my braided hair was all messed up. Urghhhh…I was so depressed. The work in cleaning it, don’t joke!   What struck my eyes first was the huge 10 meter crevice in the rock. Then the vast sculpted walls towering high above and the sound of water rushing through the ravines. You will definitely find plenty of photo opportunities here.
PS: Â The water was ice cold which by the way caught me totally off-guard and the mud bath was definitely not what I had pictured. I pictured a pool with mad then you dip yourself but this happened to be completely the opposite. But trust me you will definitely enjoy this.

- ZIP-LINING, SAKLIKENT GORGE
It was my first time zip lining and it was so much fun. Of course you freak out a little especially if you are a first time but after you get used to it, damn, you’re a ninja, making all kind of stunts. Well, it’s not the vavavoom zip lining but it was quite something if you are a first timer. I have a video that I’m currently editing right now, hopefully it’ll be up my YouTube channel soon.

- HOT AIR BALLOON, CAPPADOCIA
Cappadocia has a landscape that I had never witnessed before in my life. It is one of the most popular and spectacular spots in the world to go up in a Hot Air Balloon.  Just imagine this, waking up at 5:30 am, getting on a balloon ride at 6pm and spending over an hour flying above the love valley, pigeon valley, orchards, fairy chimneys and vineyards. Life couldn’t get any better! The balloons are usually quite a number and the different vibrant colors for the balloons will leave you breathless. However, it’s gets a bit cold up there. Your hands even get numb at some point (this wasn’t fun).

If you’re not a hot air balloon kind of person, you can choose to view the balloons from the Sultan Cave suites roof top sipping on a glass of red wine. You will enjoy the spectacular number of balloons flying across Cappadocia.

5. THE COTTON CASTLE, PAMUKKALE
Pamukkale is located in the South West of Turkey. Pamukkale, means “cotton castle” in Turkish. It is a natural site in Denizli Province in southwestern Turkey. The city contains hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water. However, I must say despite the fact that the place is stunning and picturesque, the thermal pools have been dried up only leaving very few of them. Not all the pools are thermal, there is one pool in particular that has super cold water but despite this. It’s definitely a place you want to visit when in Turkey. I mean, the pictures can tell it all.

We got an E-Visa to Turkey since we had a Schengen visa. However, if you don’t have a Schengen visa you will have to visit the Turkish Embassy in your country to apply for one.
