Hey good people! I finally got time off for myself over the weekend and took a much needed break from mommying to just really sleeping eating and indulging a little because thirst and also somewhat reclaim my sanity and celebrate the fact that we continue to successfully raise an almost 5 month old. Yasss! I had to close the year with a bang-ish and actually give myself a treat or what I’d like to call “push present-s” besides shopping online (by the way the addiction is back in full swing and my entire wardrobe is now fashionova!!) Judge me not!
As much as I am a sucker of hopping on a plane and going to whatever destination, I’m also really hoping to see my country more because truth be told, Kenya is a gorgeous place that we should explore every so often. The hubs and I have made a pact, traveling locally more, and most importantly tagging Ace along for the adventure. Now, imagine setting up a bonfire at the terrace overlooking the Ngong hills or taking a hot bath overlooking the majestic hills or having breakfast at the patio accompanied by the most beautiful Rays of sunshine. Dreamy right? That’s how I’d define Ol Talet. Dreamy. Peaceful. Literally a breath of fresh air. I honestly feel so refreshed now. It’s been quite the year. I however don’t think I’d trade my life right now for anything. I have such huge sense of fulfillment and I can’t wait to see what next year offers.
Also, Ol Talet is very affordable. The house has three bedrooms which houses 6pax. They charge ksh19,000/USD190 for a night which you can split amongst yourselves. It’s fully furnished house with a well set up kitchen where you can prepare your own meals or if you like you can order food from Ole Tepes which is literally a walking distance from the cottage. Traveling with a group always saves more and if you’re crowd is fun, even better!!
If you’re wondering if I tagged baby Ace along the answer is no. I really wanted to enjoy sometime off, ALONE and somewhat sleep throughout the night. Also, the place gets very windy and cold in the evening and into the night so a couple of hoodies, pair of socks and maasai shukas will come in handy. I hope y’all excited for the holidays.
