Cropped In Kente.

We all have this one staple wardrobe piece that we keep somewhere in our closets because for one reason or another we have nothing to pair it up with or rather we have made ourselves believe so. Well, those days are over! It’s interesting how a simple crop top changed my entire look here.I’m beginning to realize and explore more ways to have fun with my outfits by making use of every wardrobe piece I have and in turn saving a lot and I mean a WHOLE LOT! My shopping habits can get out of control sometimes, but oh well.

I’m also tending to love the idea of having my clothes tailored from scratch cause you get to add your own twist to it. You also get to choose what goes where and what not to have and most importantly pick the fabric that you love. The prints on this maxi are very subtle and minimal. They are not too busy nor too shouting/bright and thus makes it very easy to pair it up and color block with different accessories. I paired this one with one of my favorite crop tops that I love particularly cause of the sheer front and back detail that adds a little edge and sexiness to my whole look.

This outfit definitely passes for a Saturday brunch or dinner at Mama Ashanti. (By the way if you are looking at having a sumptuous West African dish soon, Mama Ashanti is the PLACE and their plantain, my, it’s everythinggg…..)

All covered up downwards and showing some skin on your top. Amazingly hot!
