OLX SOMA Awards 2017 NOMINATION.

Howdy howdy! Oh yes, I made the cut and got shortlisted under the New Blogger category for this years 5th Annual OLX SOMA Awards. SOMA Awards Recognizes & Rewards Brands That Use Social Media To Transform Lives and to be recognized by SOMA is like a dream come true.  I’m still in awe and to be honest, it came as a surprise to me. Being nominated has just raised the bar even higher for me and motivated me to continue creating great and impactful content.

Giving back is always in STYLE.

Howdy, howdy! I had such an amazing weekend as much as I literally feel like I could punch someone in the face right now, people can be so annoying. But that aside. I’m very much appreciative of the fact that I’m here today. I spent almost my whole Saturday at Imani Children’s home in Kayole, Matopeni and on my way a lot ran through my mind. I remember even at some point texting my sister and telling her, “Thank God for the life you’re living now“. Sometimes we get so caught in our day to day activities and forget to sit back and be appreciative of what we have and how far we’ve come.

SHE GOT MARRIED!

Guess who is married now? Not me, obviously, but my best-friend did! As a friend, and watching her plan her wedding, flip out on us (oh lord! haha), sometimes even cry, my whole perception of wedding planning being a bed of roses definitely went out of the window. However, It is pretty exciting especially when you’re fitting the wedding dress, closing on the cake vendor (cause obviously the Cake is the business), but when it starts getting to you and you spend months trying to close on a venue, looking for a good photographer and some vendors almost flaking on you, it stops being pretty.

VALUING FRIENDSHIPS, HEALING & MOVING ON.

Howdy! How have you been? Well, the last week has not been the best since the year started. It was probably one of my worst weeks ever. If you’ve been keen on my instagram or Facebook page, you are probably aware that I lost one of my friends. The news hit me pretty hard and I/We all couldn’t believe it. Good thing is, slowly by slowly I’m beginning to come to terms with it.

#ZANZIBAR: Going Bananas.

Thank the heavens for whoever invented the go-pro camera! Few are the times you get to capture moments that seemed impossible. We rose quite early on this day and headed to Kendwa Beach in Zanzibar to kick off our vacay with some activities we had booked in with ZP Ocean Sports. The sandy beaches at Kendwa are as white as white can get! Damn, you can barely look at the sand without shades on! It was pretty hot and humid as well but that didn’t matter cause everyone was having so much fun.
