Howdy-howdy! This is another series of my #TembeaKenya posts that I’m super excited to be sharing with you guys. Let me start by saying that Kenya is amazingly beautiful guys and I probably had one of the best weekends. It’s been a while since I went out of town and let loose a little bit. Sometimes Nairobi can be so crazy and you almost get lost in all the pressure and forget to live a little.

There is no greater feeling than giving to meet the needs of someone else’s life. Not giving because of what you want in return or because of a sense of obligation, but freely giving your time, talents and treasures to be a blessing to someone else. It’s incredible how we managed to raise KSH80,000 in less than a month and honestly this really made my heart melt and couldn’t stop but think of how amazing and giving the CCS Kenya team is. Getting a group of guys across every age group who have so much passion in changing lives is extremely commendable. 🙂

It’s been a week since the Annual OLX SoMA awards event was held and I’ve taken a step back the last few days to just sit and think about the whole experience, what I’ve learned so far in regards to blogging and with that said, I have a few tips to share with you. Live a life full of color, they said. I had a blast this past weekend with two of my friends at the Kenya Color Run that took place on Sunday at Uhuru gardens. The event involved lot’s of color, music, running and dancing despite looking a hot mess thereafter but this didn’t really come as surprise cause what do you expect from a mini holi festival? You know, when it comes to giving back to the community, I’m always sold. Messy or not. I’m down for it any day, any time. However, the main goal for this years run was to promote peace awareness in midst of this election year as we celebrate Kenya’s rich ethnic diversity.

Oh yes, I made the cut and got shortlisted under the New Blogger category for this years 5th Annual OLX SOMA Awards. SOMA Awards Recognizes & Rewards Brands That Use Social Media To Transform Lives and to be recognized by SOMA is like a dream come true. I’m still in awe and to be honest, it came as a surprise to me.
