The other day I was having a very raw and honest conversation with one of my friends. I was telling her how I have come to realize that I hold a very high expectation of people in my life, almost as though people ‘owe’ me. I imagine that since I have been there for them, then they should be there for me. Or since I have invested in a friendship or a relationship then it ought to last for ever. But the harsh reality that has finally dawned on me is that I am entitled to nothing.

Mamamia, this weather though! Eishhhh! Is this where we now pack my bags and go to Canaan? And wait, I’m the only one who wasn’t getting this joke? Haha…Well, that aside, I think I’ve talked versatility before and there is nothing as comforting as having different pieces in your wardrobe that you can switch up every now and then to achieve a different look.

Let me start by saying that Kenya is amazingly beautiful guys and I probably had one of the best weekends. It’s been a while since I went out of town and let loose a little bit. Sometimes Nairobi can be so crazy and you almost get lost in all the pressure and forget to live a little.

NO GREATER FEELING THAN GIVING.

There is no greater feeling than giving to meet the needs of someone else’s life. Not giving because of what you want in return or because of a sense of obligation, but freely giving your time, talents and treasures to be a blessing to someone else. It’s incredible how we managed to raise KSH80,000 in less than a month and honestly this really made my heart melt and couldn’t stop but think of how amazing and giving the CCS Kenya team is. Getting a  group of guys across every age group who have so much passion in changing lives is extremely commendable. 🙂
