A gift of sisterhood.

Buenos Dias! It’s saturday, 9:37AM as I’m writing this article. I’m at Artcaffe enjoying a cup of cappuccino and a blueberry muffin. I’m a lover of their blueberry pastries, always so delish. I’ve also just dropped off my son for his swimming practice at his school. I’m so excited for him as he gets to morph into his own self, make new friends and this has particularly made me really look forward to weekends😍 I’m really excited for today’s blog, it’s very close to my heart and without further ado, let’s get into it 🙂

We often talk about the benefits of family relationships, romantic relationships and not so much about the benefits of friendships and how healthy friendships can enrich our lives. I looked back over the years on how the sisterhood with these amazing ladies has impacted my life. I vehemently believe that friendships can enrich our lives in many ways. Good friends, not just any friends, can teach you about yourself and challenge you to be better. They encourage you to keep going when times get tough and celebrate your successes with you.

Friends Help You Beat Stress

I vividly remember when I hit rock bottom a few years back, among the people I relied on for emotional support were my friends. Why? Cause I knew they’d instantly make me feel better. Y’all, I cannot thank these ladies enough for standing by me and showing up at every beck and call, to date. Everyone goes through stressful events. If you know you have people you can count on, you may be less likely to even perceive a tough time as stressful! Spending time with friends can help reduce stress. Social connections help relieve levels of stress, which can harm the heart’s arteries, gut function, insulin regulation, and the immune system (scientifically proven 😛)

Friends Push You To Be Your Best

One thing about these ladies is they will celebrate with you, encourage and support you in every way possible. We all need to be in social circles that provide a positive influence. If you make friends with people who are generous with their time, help others, or are ambitious or family-oriented, you are more likely to develop those values yourself.

Great friends have the power to mold you into the best version of yourself. They see you and love you for who you truly are. They encourage you and push you to do better and be the person you want to be—your “ideal self.”

Friends Help Build Your Confidence

Do you have friends that gas you up every time even when you’re at your worst? Yea, I do! 🙂 Everyone has self-doubts and insecurities every now and then. But having friends who support you plays a big role in building your self-esteem, or how much you appreciate and love yourself.😍

Supportive friends can help you feel more confident by offering praise and reassurance when you’re feeling unsure. They’ll shine a light on just how amazing you are and how much you have to offer others. This right here, is PRICELESS!

Last but not least…

Friends Give You Emotional Support

Sometimes, it’s nice to know that you have someone in your corner when you need mental and emotional support.  Having friends pretty much guarantees that you’ll have that when you need it.  It’s not always about your friend giving advice or having the answer to life’s problems.  It’s just nice to know that you have someone encouraging, accepting, and loving you when you need it.

To conclude, having solid friendships is important. They make life more enjoyable. We get to share the beautiful aspects of life with people who we love, which can enrich our everyday experiences. Our friends help us through the difficult times. Having friends to support us through hard times can make unimaginably difficult situations seem more tolerable.

Mine is those plans we used to have at Winny’s house! Hahaha..Then my laptop got stolen on my way to sherehe at Winny’s house. My dad was livid!

He reminded me the other day that I have to repay the laptop. Haha..
